Sin fotos / Estar aqui
w/ Julian Gonzalez
“Sin fotos / Estar aquí” (No Photos / Be Here) explores the mirage of presence in the digital age by exploiting both digital and perceptual space. Through forced-perspective projection, fragmented planes align to reveal the words, appearing coherent only from a specific vantage. As visitors move closer, the illusion dissolves—mirroring how truth, clarity, and connection distort through the lenses of technology.
The paired phrases hold a quiet dialogue: sin fotos resists the impulse to capture and share, while estar aquí affirms the vulnerable act of simply existing in place and time. Together, they reflect our longing to reconcile seeing with being, image with experience.
By transforming typography into architecture and projection into illusion, “Sin fotos / Estar aquí” becomes both a mirage and a mirror—an ephemeral invitation to step outside the digital frame, to look, move, and rediscover presence as the most real encounter of all.
